Video surfaces that could cost Dan Mullen a fine due to the Florida-Mizzou fight
the Florida-Missouri scuffle at halftime has been a lousy moment for both teams and the league as a whole.
Next to a Questionable blow to Florida quarterback Kyle Trask To end the first half, the Gators players, including head coach Dan Mullen, rushed to midfield to say a few words to Mizzou and protect their quarterback.
Backlash on social media started immediately over a potential fine for Mullen for his actions, but after the game the Florida head coach downplayed everything, saying the coaches were all trying to get the players off the pitch.
“From what I understand, I think our guys thought they took a late hit against our quarterback,” Mullen told the SEC network. “They will protect him. He’s their guy. I think they were going to protect him. I think both sides were trying to get people off the pitch, but everyone was a little nervous and probably went a bit too far with that. We were trying to get our guys off the pitch in the middle of it all. … That’s what it is – an emotional game sometimes. I do not tolerate it. I’m not really happy with how it all turned out, obviously.
A camera angle followed a heated Mullen in midfield, and it shows the Gators head coach in the midst of it all yelling at Missouri players and coaches. Following Mullen’s actions, this is when things really got tough between the players.

Remember, if Lane Kiffin fined for real comments about league refereeing, the UF head coach could also be fined. No doubt the SEC office in Birmingham will have a few words for both teams after Saturday night.
The Gators ended up winning 41-17 behind Kyle Trask’s 4 touchdown passes.
