Michael Ball teases Prince Harry in TV appearance
Singer Michael Ball is never afraid to laugh – even about a member of the royal family.
Michael was presenting on The One Show when Prince Harry made a passionate appeal during a special Victory Day movie.
The Duke of Sussex has spoken with organizations that help those who have served in the armed forces in the United Kingdom, reports the Daily Express.
At the end of the emotional segment, Harry told viewers, “These people who signed up, chose to serve, then have life-changing injuries – they didn’t stop there.”
He added: “That’s why it’s so incredibly impressive but at the same time so incredibly uplifting.
Harry was appearing from his new home in California, where he currently resides with Meghan – who is expecting her second child – and their young son Archie.
Show host Alex Jones said: “Thank you very much Prince Harry for that. He makes a pretty promising One Show reporter, don’t you think?”
But Michael replied that he felt somewhat disappointed with the Duke’s appearance.
He replied, “But we haven’t seen enough of the house, have we?”
Alex then shook his head jokingly in agreement, before adding, “You like to do that, don’t you?”
Recently, Michael admitted he wanted to perform at a memorial service for Captain Sir Tom, describing how the 100-year-old changed his life.
Captain Sir Tom, who holds two world records for the oldest number one on the UK charts and most of the funds raised in an individual charity walk, died in February after contracting coronavirus.
Speaking in April, Michael told the Daily Mirror: “We are hopefully planning some kind of fitting memorial.
“He gave me a # 1, which was pretty cool, and he gave us all a little bit of hope when we were lost and scared.
