MeT office predicts heavy rains in some districts of Odisha on Wednesday
Bhubaneswar, June 15 (PTI) Light to moderate rains fell in many parts of Odisha on Tuesday, with the Met Department forecasting heavy rains in some districts over the next 24 hours.
Malkangiri received 45.8mm of precipitation and Sambalpur 22.8mm in the past 24 hours until 8:30 am Tuesday, while Cuttack and Bhubaneswar received very light rain, the meteorological office said.
Heavy rains are expected to occur in some places in Cuttack, Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Jagatsinghpur, Keonjhar and Mayurbhanj districts on Wednesday, he said.
There is a possibility of light to moderate precipitation in many places in northern Odisha and a few places in the southern part of the state over the next 24 hours, the Bhubaneswar Weather Center said.
The Met Office predicted cloudy skies with one or two rain episodes in Bhubaneswar.
Maximum and minimum temperatures in the city are expected to be around 32 degrees Celsius and 25 degrees Celsius, respectively, he said.
The highest maximum temperature of 35 degrees Celsius was recorded at Boudh, and the lowest minimum temperature of 19.5 degrees Celsius was recorded at Malkangiri, he added. PTI HMB AAM SBN MM MM
