The Met Office forecast moderate and isolated rains in Karachi from September 23 to 25.
“The city will experience rain showers in the interstices from last Wednesday evening,” Sardar Sarfaraz, director of Pakistan’s meteorological department, told SAMAA TV. The rain, accompanied by thunderstorms and lightning, will continue until Friday afternoon.

Earlier in the day, heavy rains hit Lahore and neighboring towns in Punjab. Immediately after the showers, the city’s electricity supply was suspended, while low-lying areas were flooded.
Meanwhile, the Met Office predicted heavy isolated rains in Islamabad, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan, Kashmir and eastern Balochistan.
