Greater Manchester gears up for more glorious sunshine – day-by-day forecasts for the next seven days
Greater Manchester is expected to bake to highs of 26C this weekend – and the bright sunshine is expected to stay on for the rest of the month.
Experts predict a rainy Wednesday next week, but in the days that follow, “nice and calm” weather is on the way with the mercury expected to hit 20.

Thursday will see highs of 23C, but the Met Office says it will look like 21C for most of the day.

Wind gusts could reach 24 mph at 5 p.m. and into the evening.

Speaking about the weather in Manchester, Met Office meteorologist Alex Burkill said: “We have had hot and sunny weather and that will continue until this weekend when it will be unbelievably hot and sunny.
“By the middle of next week, at the moment, it looks like it will be Wednesday, it will be wet, windy and cooler, but it will be short-lived.
“As we move into the next week, I expect good, steady, warmer than average weather to return, similar to what we have now.
